Roger is currently Chair of the Patient Partnership Advisory Council of the Ontario SPOR Support Unit (OSSU). He is also vice-president and treasurer of the Western Ottawa Community Resource Center (WOCRC) and member of its French-language services committee. He is one of the founding members and past president of the Maison de la Francophonie d'Ottawa.
He is currently volunteering on the Executive Committee of the Court Challenges Program administered by the University of Ottawa, funding causes related to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and of the Official Languages Act. He is a consultant for the Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne assisting with the teachers’ training programs.He was Executive in Residence at the Institute of Official Languages and Bilingualism at the University of Ottawa from 2016 to 2023.
He had 35 years of experience in the federal government and was Executive Director at Health Canada from 2003 to 2017 where he led the Office of Consumer and Public Involvement and the Official Languages in Health Program
